The Junquillos fire starts in a harvested cereal field, spreading at high veloctity, up to 1600m/h. When the fire enters to the forested area (native forest), slowed down its speed and intensity. Part of the forest area consisted of logging debris, which caused the fire to spread with greater intensity and speed than within the native forest, but it was always within the capacity to be extinguished. The plume had a convective behaviour the first hour of the fire, with an important growth, mainly while burning the cereal field, and started to decrease its intensity with the entrance of the fire within the forested area.
